Aalborg, seen from the inside

HiFi Knights returned to Audio Group Denmark’s Aalborg headquarters in 2023 to find a company that had grown substantially since its earlier visit. The report describes a larger team and expanded premises, where development, production, quality control and demonstration rooms sit together under one roof.

The feature follows the hands-on work that supports the finished systems: cable and power-distributor assembly, precise wire preparation, loudspeaker-driver manufacture, cryogenic treatment and final inspection. It notes the company’s focus on material choices and mechanical behaviour, including the use of copper, silver, titanium and zirconium across its products.

Listening sessions form the other half of the story. Through demonstrations spanning Ansuz, Aavik and Børresen, the article records how the team uses direct comparison to communicate its approach to system building. It is an independent, detailed snapshot of the scale and craft behind the group’s development work.

A visitor’s view of Aalborg

HiFi Pig’s January 2023 report follows a two-day visit to the Aalborg facility. Its account introduces the group through its three core brands—Ansuz, Aavik and Børresen—then moves from the listening rooms and social spaces into the day-to-day activity of the factory.

The tour focuses on the practical detail behind the products. The writers highlight the team, the production equipment used for tasks such as cable preparation, and specialist processes including cryogenic treatment and silver work. Their overall impression is of a company investing closely in both its machinery and the people using it.

The visit also includes a series of listening demonstrations and comparative setups. Rather than presenting those impressions as a specification sheet, the report gives a visitor’s perspective on how the group explains its ideas in the listening room—and why its engineers place such weight on materials, setup and system context.
